| 1.What happens when we become dehydrated? |
| Symptoms of dehydration include headache, fatigue, confusion and weakening of the thirst mechanism. The thirst mechanisms signals us when we are thirsty but when we enter the dehydration zone this signal is often misinterpreted as a hunger signal. So we begin to eat when we are actually just thirsty. Usually this craving shows up as a sweet craving.

| There are many reasons to keep drinking water throughout the day. The kidneys use water to cleanse your system processing about 200 quarts of blood to sift out about 2 quarts of waste products. When you don’t drink enough water the kidneys cannot carry out its functions fully so it releases toxins onto the liver. One of the liver's primary functions is to metabolize stored fat into usable energy. But if the liver is exhausted by the kidneys load, the liver will metabolizes less fat. More fat remains stored in the body and weight loss stops. |
